IDEO - Interaction Designer & Consultant
2006-2008 - Palo Alto, California.
Worked in Mobile Software & Services, TV, Gaming, Service Design, Air Travel, Healthcare, and more.Collaboratively worked with clients in focused workshops. Solved Interaction Design problems on both a strategic and tactical level. Focused on concept generation, software prototyping, and user research. Communicated our vision back to our clients in person, through formal presentations and videos.
Koeweiden Postma - Graphic Designer

While working as part of this small interdisciplinary studio created 2 small film trailers, designed a user interface for a new web television service, a dance poster, and several web sites. Added experience in motion and new media to a small team of designers mostly focused on identity and print work.

Helped design and then programmed and produced an interactive kiosk version of the Vodafone online art magazine, Receiver. Wrote, shot, and edited a short 4 min. documentary DVD, about an interactive video console, for The Waag Society for New Media. Also, created a small promo web site for the Waag.

$3,000 fellowship to create a lasting contribution to the Herb Lubalin Center for Typography. Designed a new solution to display video and new media in the center which traditionally shows print works.

Graduation award for excellence in the graphic design department at the Cooper Union.
Type Directors Club of New York - Scholarship Award

Received, during my junior year, a $1000 scholarship from the Type Directors Club of New York for excellence in graphic design. One of five students honored from local NYC art schools.

Herb Lubalin Center for Typography - Ground Zero

Solo show at the Cooper Union. A collection of video, design and photography artworks from my time at the Cooper Union. One video showed our main school building exploding. The show preceded the actual attacks on Sept. 11th, 2001.
The Whitney Museum of Art - The American Century, Part II, 1950-2000
2000, New York, USA
A major exhibition that surveyed American art over the 20th century at the turn of the millennium. My film, Ariadne’s Clew, was included in the video and film program focused on abstract films.
